The mandate

This factory produces plastic items with extrusion machines. The plant uses a conveyor management system and a reject system that is interfaced with the machines. Built on outdated technology, the system was very intertwined. The mandate was to design a homogeneous system with the latest technologies to be up to date, for several years.

The solution

The stages of the mandate were as follows:

  • Electrical and networking design of the new set up
  • System implementation including new technologies
  • Migration of DeviceNet components to Ethernet IP
  • System interface on a supervision and data acquisition system (SCADA - Ignition - INDUCTIVE AUTOMATION)
  • Management of the rejection system with the implementation of a barcode reader
  • Documentation of the work in order to copy this system to new installations
